We are excited to be assisting a leading organisation with the aim of hiring a contract Technical Consultant.

Key Technical Services: SCCM, InTune, Client Operating Systems (Windows 10), application deployment and lifecycle management.

The appropriate Technical Specialist will have experience of Windows 10 deployments as well as 3rd line technical role and understand and define the overall application and technical requirements.

  • Previous experience working in a 3rd-line technical support role, recognised as “SME” for relevant Technical Services relating to the role.

  • Demonstrable feedback-driven approach to Service Improvement
  • Experience working within a large organisation with a globally disparate user-base
  • Relevant experience working with managed service providers and third parties

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Providing complex 3rd-line technical issue root cause analysis and remediation across portfolio of Technical Services, engaging product vendors as required
  • Delivering service in-line with the KPIs (SLA, Aged Incident and off-shore volume targets etc.)
  • Supporting our “shift left” initiatives:
    • Authoring/ maintaining technical service documentation including Design, DR, SOPs and Work Instructions
    • Running handover sessions with off-shore, near-shore and on-site teams to up-skill/ reduce mean-time to resolution for user issues
    • Engaging customers and key stakeholders for feedback
    • Establishing improvement plans and regular updates on progress, measuring the success of related outcomes
    • Driving consistency across all locations through definition and implementation of group standards and processes
    • Seeking operational efficiencies / service improvement initiatives both internally and with third-parties
    • Credibly communicating challenges, plans and progress at senior management level
  • Enabling successful delivery of new services
  • Assessing/ reviewing and contributing to new Technical Service design
  • Working with vendors and the Infrastructure Designers
