Financial Reporting Data Control Framework Consultant

South Manchester

£35,000 – £50,000

We have an exciting Permanent opportunity for a Financial Reporting Data Control Framework (FRDCF) Consultant to join a leading financial services business, based in South Manchester.

The main purpose of the role is to assist the FRDCF Manager in Group Finance and the wider business on financial reporting risk and control related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Review end to end processes to ensure controls are designed effectively, identify control gaps and deficiencies,
  • Perform testing of the design and operational effectiveness of controls,
  • Provide day to day management support to senior stakeholders to ensure embedding across the Group,
  • Support FRDCF Manager to maintain FRDCF Methodology and Standards
  • Timely and quality outputs from Champion Groups and Process Owner Forums comprising of managers across Group Finance
  • Support FRDCF Manager in monitoring and reporting controls issues and deficiencies
  • Support the development and delivery of training, coaching and daily supervision to Group Finance and wider business
  • Ensure controls and tested, risks are understood, controlled and migrated and risk is reported and investigated in accordance with the Risk Event & Escalation process.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Strong knowledge and experience of control frameworks
  • Knowledgeable about proposed regulatory changes including IFRS
  • Good communication skills, both face to face and report writing including the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately
  • Proven ability of challenging current practices and recommending/implementing alternative solutions
