We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation as a Windows Server Team Manager. The right candidate will have a strong background working with Windows Servers and leading a variety of teams of IT Specialists.
Technical Experience
- Experience and knowledge of IT service delivery and service management.
- Configuration and management of Windows server environments using WSUS, SCCM or Intune.
- A demonstrable working knowledge of ITIL equivalent to Foundation Level.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles, theory and practices of IT Services delivery.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain effective relations with service stakeholders (e.g. suppliers, customers) to achieve successful issue resolution.
- Experienced in managing IT contracts and suppliers.
- Experience of Agile practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
- Enterprise server experience managing Windows Server and derivatives in a large organisation.
- Experience of supporting Windows Services such as DNS, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Good understanding of Windows availability features such as clustering/always on.
- Experience of PowerShell.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of IT specialists, ensuring effective service delivery to the organisation.
- Oversee technical management of services in line with ITIL best practices to meet service levels and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Manage team schedules, tasks, and dependencies to ensure productivity and quality output, adhering to standards and best practices.
- Ensure services comply with architectural and security standards.
- Coordinate with products, suppliers, and vendors to deliver effective business services.
- Implement operational policies, processes, and service delivery, communicate to the team, and monitor execution.
- Ensure accurate documentation and standard operating procedures are maintained.
- Monitor and report service levels, leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead small projects, ensuring timely and quality deliverables, including managing budgets when necessary.
- Enhance team performance through coaching and development aligned with industry trends.
