Test Lead (London Markets)

Test Lead (London Markets – Speciality Insurance) / £650pd / 6 Month contract / Remote – London

*A strong background in testing within the London Markets is essential for this role*

A market leading London Markets / Speciality insurance company are looking for a Test Lead on a contract basis. The right candidate will have a strong background in testing for London Markets / Speciality Insurance companies.

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 5 year’s experience as a Senior Test Lead with a comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including both bespoke software development, vendor package (or a combination of both) and associated integration’s

• Recent London Market / Speciality insurance testing experience

• Good knowledge of on-premise, SaaS and Cloud hosted environments and associated CI/CD deployment methods

• In depth knowledge and experience of all stages of testing, including Unit Testing, Systems Integration Testing (SIT), Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT),

• Knowledge of underwriting business functions, supporting business operations and previous exposure to, or experience within, the Lloyds insurance market and insurance underwriting and/or broking systems

• Proven experience test planning and execution with internal teams, vendors and/or third party development teams, either on-shore or off-shore and demonstrable experience of delivering test plans and associated traceability matrices to support complex initiatives and able to mentor and support business end user testing (UAT).

• Strong analysis, consultation, communication and presentation skills and ability to influence the direction and thinking of senior stakeholders and capture complex requirements in a prioritised backlog and ability to understand strategic needs whilst focusing on the customer

• Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio, exposure to automated test tools & test development skills

• Knowledge of Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working in Agile teams is preferable
