We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading insurance organisation as a Test Environment Manager. This role is to oversee both the configuration and usage of all non-production environments. As the Test Environment Manager you will be accountable for the test environments and their associated services and processes. You will require strong organisational and stakeholder management skills along with practical experience of working with DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all non-production environments, ensuring their configuration, purpose, and usage are clear.
  • Collaborate with Agile Delivery Leads, Test Managers, and DevOps Engineers to meet test environment needs promptly.
  • Ensure environments are suitable for both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Implement and maintain software version control processes across environments, ensuring transparency of code versions and dependencies.
  • Track environment releases, upgrades, and changes.
  • Support the Software Delivery Life cycle for each workstream.
  • Document test environment architecture, including third-party interfaces.
  • Manage data refresh and code deployment processes.
  • Control test environment costs and seek efficiency improvements.
  • Work with DevOps teams to identify and automate processes, reducing manual tasks and improving work flow.
  • Continuously improve test environment processes and services.
  • Oversee environment monitoring, event management, and defect resolution to ensure stability.
  • Proactively identify and manage test environment risks.

Experience

  • Proven experience managing Test Environments in an Agile framework.
  • Understanding of AWS server and serverless technologies.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Experience optimising test environment usage at an enterprise level.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience applying policies, procedures, guidelines, and risk management in a regulated environment.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
