Test Engineer - SC Cleared

Clearance Required for Role:

* All applicants must hold a UK Security clearance to SC or DV level to apply.

Responsibilities:

* Define test strategy, tools and process for quality assurance of systems and software.
* Provide technical integration and test guidance and leadership.
* Requirements analysis.
* Manage and lead a team of Test Engineers to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
* Define, rollout, and enforce best practice processes in the areas of functional, system and regression testing using a combination of manual and automated testing.
* Develop test strategies, test plans, and test schedules for new projects and software releases.
* Oversee and report on the development, execution and results of test plans.
* Participate in project planning and estimates.
* Debugging complex systems at scale.
* Disaster Recovery Testing.
* Security Testing.
* Scalability and Performance Testing.
* Coordination with end users.
* Chair or participate in test meetings.
* Participate in engineering review boards.
* Shape System Test and System Transition Requirements and Procedures.

Essentials Skills and Experience:

* Skilled in Agile methodologies and tools including Scrum, Kanban, JIRA, Confluence.
* Custom scripting.
* Good knowledge of Automated testing for functional and non-functional requirements.
* Test automation – functional, ERP, web, mobile, service virtualization.
* Good knowledge of CI/CD practices with Jenkins, GitLab and/or GitHub
* Passion for automation!!
* Automation testing certification would be an advantage.
* Self-motivated in learning new technologies and trends.
* Problem solving and reporting skills
* Good communication skills
* Experience in developing and setting up Test environments.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent inter-personal skills.
* Willing to work outside of normal business hours to get the job done and to travel if required.
