Security Workstream Lead (Contract)

Rate: £700 – £800 per day
Location: Remote (the team meets in London on Tuesdays which is optional)
Contract Duration: 6 months

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Workstream Lead within our Information Security Secure Change Team with accountability for managing of one of our Secure Change teams, on a large initiative, within a top financial services organisation. With a specific focus on implementing Security Technology and with some Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), you will help to shape our ongoing maturity journey, whilst at the same time ensuring that our current service continues to be effective.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive Hands-on Experience: Significant experience in information security, particularly within Cloud environments or with Microsoft/Linux systems.
• Industry Standard Frameworks: Deep understanding of one or more industry-standard frameworks, such as Microsoft CAF or NIST, with the ability to help programme teams adopt these frameworks using existing tools.
• Project Management Collaboration: Ability to work closely with project managers to ensure key security tasks are effectively planned and managed within project timelines.
• Risk & Control Balancing: Pragmatic approach that effectively balances risk and control requirements with commercial drivers.
• Creative Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Collaborative Team Player: Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with others.
• Influential Decision-Making: Skilled in influencing decision-making processes to surface and mitigate issues and risks across a wide range of stakeholders.
