Project Manager – Manufacturing Systems / MRP system (FactoryMaster) implementation

Our prestigious manufacturing client based on the Isle of Wight require an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a FactoryMaster MRP system into their business, as well as leading the integration of FactoryMaster into the client’s core Dynamics 365 platform and the decommissioning of their old manufacturing system.

Up to £650 per day – OUTSIDE IR35

Contract to start in late September 2024

6 month initial contract (Full Time hours until end of December, dropping to 3 days per week for the final 3 months)

Largely Remote Working – 1 day a week to 1 day a fortnight onsite at the client’s offices in Cowes, Isle of Wight

This Project Manager will work with a small team of BA’s as well as managing the relationship and delivery from their 3rd party MRP supplier’s Technical Project Manager. This PM will lead the business side of the FactoryMaster MRP implementation, the cutover event from old system to new, the decommissioning of the current manufacturing system, the integration of FactoryMaster with Dynamics365 and also the business readiness activity for the new system (User training, colleague communications etc.)

Experience needed:

• Strong previous IT project management experience within the manufacturing / production industries
• Previous experience of leading the implementation of Manufacturing systems or MRP systems
• Any experience of leading the implementation of the FactoryMaster MRP would be advantageous, but not essential
• Previous experience of managing system decommissioning and system integration projects
• Strong experience of working with and managing 3rd party IT suppliers as part of project deliveries
• Experience of delivering business readiness activities (to include user training and comms) as part of IT projects
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
• A dynamic, front-footed and proactive approach to project management.
