We have an exciting opportunity to join a market leading company as a Platform Operations Engineer. As a Platform Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving highly scalable and reliable cloud platform infrastructure services. The ideal Platform Operations Engineer will not only have a good understanding of cloud technologies but also understand the value of automation whilst being a strong advocate of Infrastructure as Code.

Experience

• Strong command line experience with RHEL (minimum of 4 years)
• Proficient at scripting with one or more of the following: Java, Perl or Python
• Automating delivery of Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Terraform
• Working with software development methodologies; agile, test automation and CI/CD in public/private/hybrid cloud environment
• Automating configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt)
• Experience with container technologies using Docker and Kubernetes
• 3 to 5 years’ experience working with a major Cloud Infrastructure vendor, preferably with AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and management tasks.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
• Continuously evaluate and improve platform performance, reliability, and efficiency.
