Position: 2nd Line Desktop Engineer
Location: Swindon – fully on site
Type: Contract (via umbrella company only)

Overview:

A leading business based in Swindon is seeking a skilled 2nd Line Desktop Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will handle 1st and 2nd line desktop support issues and contribute to various ongoing IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end-users.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and support of Windows operating systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop operating system issues on laptops.
• Swap out machines and address any ongoing technical issues for users.
• Contribute to the rollout of Windows operating systems

Requirements:

• Proven experience in desktop support, particularly 2nd line support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting Windows operating systems on laptops.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for desktop operating system issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with users.
