Data Engineer - Python

Position: Data Engineer
Skills: Python production-level coding, SQL, DBT, Airflow, GCP, Kubernetes
Rate: £700-£750 per day via Umbrella
Location: Mostly remote (1 day a month in Central London)

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement robust data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Workflow Orchestration: Efficiently schedule and manage data workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Data Transformation: Convert raw data into actionable insights using DBT.
• Containerisation: Deploy and manage applications for optimal performance and scalability with Kubernetes.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for secure and scalable data solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to meet data requirements.

Essential Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming with the ability to write production-level code.
• Solid experience with SQL.
• Extensive experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI and BigQuery.
• Strong understanding of Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
