Role Overview:
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be pivotal in engineering innovative cloud services and environments, adhering to architectural standards while refining existing capabilities. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the infrastructure necessary to drive the organisation into the digital era. You will craft cloud solutions with security as a fundamental principle, leveraging expertise in Security Operations (SecOps) to implement robust security measures across all operational facets. Your influence will guide teams towards consistent implementation of security best practices.

Responsibilities:
- Deploying cloud systems and services with superior performance and reliability.
- Developing automation solutions for resource provisioning and user self-service.
- Enforcing industry-leading practices across all cloud services.
- Driving operational efficiencies through cloud-based hosting.
- Orchestrating legacy system migrations to cloud platforms.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with organisational objectives.
- Evaluating system performance and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Conducting regular evaluations to ensure cloud services meet requirements.
- Addressing issues promptly, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Providing education on new cloud technologies and initiatives.
- Championing SecOps best practices across teams.
Requirements:
- Expertise in migrating on-premise solutions to Azure cloud.
- Proven experience with ExpressRoute and VPN Gateways.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Resources.
- Proficiency in event-driven architectures and Azure Event Grid.
- Extensive experience in SecOps practices.
- Familiarity with SailPoint IDN.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills, especially PowerShell.
- Microsoft Certifications (Azure Administrator, AZ-900 / AZ-500) preferred.
- Collaborative engineering skills.
- Ability to navigate technical and organisational complexities.
