Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking to hire a contractor to carry out work related to the migration of on-premises hosted applications and services to the AWS estate
AWS DevOps Engineer, key skills:
- Strong experience with AWS implementation and migration projects with Windows experience preferred, including EC2, Load Balancing, IAM roles/policies, storage and networking
- Skills in working with legacy, in-house software/infrastructure in a self-sufficient manner will be especially important
- Collaborating with the project team & Tech Lead to produce and deliver comprehensive low-level designs transforming on-premise current state to AWS state
- A strong understanding of AWS Network Architecture and networking more generally. This will enable strong collaboration with in-house network team.
- Experience in scripting and DevOps
- Automating infrastructure deployments in the Cloud with Terraform and Gitlab pipelines is essential.
- Knowledge of Puppet, Powershell and Packer is desired including DevOps best practices.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
