An exciting opportunity is available for a Procurement Manager to join a multinational manufacturer of building materials with more than 150 years of industry experience. With a presence throughout Europe and influence in parts of Asia and Africa, this is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to join a well-established organisation.

The organisation is looking for an individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment and someone who can drive the procurement function forward. You will have the chance to be involved in a large transformation project which will include liaising with different teams across Europe. With a large number of suppliers to manage, you will be the primary point of contact and reference of procurement for the UK side of the business.

Key responsibilities as a Procurement Manager include:

  • Establishing and executing procurement activities to drive performance (cost, delivery, Services, top line growth, lean, compliance), negotiations and contract management
  • Supporting local deployment of procurement strategies impacting the business in UK
  • Monitoring suppliers' quality and service through KPI's and regular business review
  • Deploying quality audits program in cooperation with Quality and Industrial department
  • Coordinate and lead data management jointly with stakeholders

Skills and experience needed for this Procurement Manager role:

  • Have experience in direct materials procurement
  • Have previous experience working in a multinational organisation
  • Be autonomous, have an entrepreneurial mindset and be result-oriented. The successful candidate will be capable of managing complex information, a decisive decision maker and have the ability to execute in a fast-moving environment
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships
