Claims Manager - Income Protection
My client is currently looking to recruit a technical Claims Manager with strong individual Income Protection experience and exceptional skills across all aspects of claims assessment and validation.
The successful candidate will be diligent and methodical in their approach and adept at sensitively and tactfully obtaining the relevant financial and medical information to asses claims. They will also be comfortable working on their own initiative and handling a large portfolio of claims ensuring that claims in payment are reviewed at relevant stages in the customers treatment. Experience engaging with counselling services, doctors, physiotherapy providers and other clinical staff will be essential in order to ensure the customer gets the very best care and is comfortable returning to work.
Overriding all of this activity will be a strong awareness, appreciation and adherence to the Data Protection Act and Anti Money Laundering regulations as well as other regulatory policies and procedures, especially those that involve the identification and mitigation of risk across the business.
The Claims Manager will work very closely with the Head of Claims and will have the potential to move into a supervisory role as the Team expands. You will need to be front footed and comfortable in a 'hands on' role where you are working across a close knit, cohesive and highly skilled team.
