My client is looking for a Big Data Solution Architect to be based in either Malvern or London. This growing company offers exciting projects in the National Security and Defence sector, including: Big Data, Machine Learning and Data Science.

As a Big Data Solution Architect, you will be in a leadership role for an established team. The team is responsible for maintaining and developing data analytics to support projects within the company. Within this role, you will take technical leadership over bids and projects as well as supporting the business development team to discuss possible solutions with customers.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of technical leadership of Data Analytics projects
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Experience of the full lifecycle of product development
  • Previous experience or working in a consultancy role, a role focused on customer needs/requirements or role with customer/stakeholder engagement
  • Proficient in Big Data tools such as: ElasticSearch, Hadoop, Spark, Solr, Zookeeper, Neo4J, Cassandra, Kafka, Oracle 11/12
  • Experience of AWS and/or Azure

This role is a good opportunity for an individual, with a Solutions Architect background, that is looking to progress and take leadership of a team. It would suit a candidate that has some technical leadership or who has worked in a role with stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate must either hold UK security clearance or be willing and eligible to achieve this.
