Bid Manager - DV Cleared

Our client have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Government & Defence orientated DV Cleared Bid Manager to join a high performing team and expanding portfolio of work. The DV Cleared Bid Manager will be required to manage our client most strategically important bids but also contribute to the client wider bidding improvement initiatives, which you will get the opportunity to lead an element. You will also take a proactive role with the client facing teams before formal bidding commences, helping shape our clients win strategy through business development. This role is expected to managed out of our clients London offices, so part of your working week will be spent in the office, home working and / or visiting client sites as part of your bid management activities. Given the nature of the work you will have held DV security clearance currently or previously.

Essential criteria:

  • Bid Management
    • Delivering at all stages of the bidding process from EOI to handing over to delivery
    • Development of all key bidding products from the Bid Strategy to the final submission
    • Experience working with client facing teams before the formal bidding process
    • Experience managing and winning management consultancy focused bids
  • Experience facilitating workshops including kick-off meetings and storyboarding
  • Understanding of how a sales pipeline \ funnel works
  • Understand of common commercial models (T&M and Fixed Price)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (English)
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise work
  • Good team player, happy to contribute to the greater good
  • Calm and resilient under pressure or demanding timescales
  • Sound analytical skills, able to present a reasoned argument supported by evidence
  • Experience managing stakeholders, internally and externally, at a range of levels

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience developing Value Proposition and marketing material
  • A history of working in or winning work within the government and defence sectors
  • Experience working with UK government digital or consulting frameworks
  • Experience at a team leader or mentor
  • Experience with creative design or innovative bidding techniques
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Awareness of industry recognised techniques such as Miller Heiman and Shipley
