Our client is based in Malvern and operates within the Defence sector. Due to additional projects, they have a new opportunity for a Server Engineer to join their team of dedicated IT professionals in delivering new systems in the Defence environment.

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Engineers and Architects, and will help to build and design new systems, as well as support existing ones.

This is a typical hands on Windows Server role, where responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering to assigned tasks, taking responsibility for the task's technical output
  • Working within a small to medium sized team and directing tasks to more junior engineers
  • Ensuring the quality and delivery of solutions are to budget and time constraints

Key skills/experience required:

  • Hands on Server build/installation experience
  • Windows Server Experience
  • Experience of VMWare
  • MCSA would be desirable but is not essential

You must be able to demonstrate a technical background in VMware and Microsoft Server, either in a support capacity or as an established Engineer.

Any knowledge of Cyber Security principals would be an advantage but not essential.

Due to the nature of the projects you will be working on, you must hold Security Clearance or be eligible to apply. In order to apply, you must have been a UK resident for more than 5 years.
